What you need to know

DVT’s Learnership programme is a work-based learning programme consisting of two parts that are directly related to an occupation or field of work and leads to a formal NQF qualification.

There are currently two types of learnership programmes available: IT Systems Development and Finance Bookkeeping. Both are registered with the MICT SETA, and candidates have the privilege of being mentored and coached by extremely qualified employees during their time at the company.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Have a Matric Certificate with a focus on mathematics
  • Have strong academic results
  • A passion for IT and/or finance
  • Be committed to working hard and always learning new things
  • Not have a formal tertiary qualification

Your time at DVT

The 24-month learnership programme is broken up into two sections that will see you take part in milestones and both national and international certifications, exposing you to various technologies to help you make the most informed career choices in the future.

You’ll be taken on a journey that will see you use what you learnt in class in the workplace under the guidance of an expert DVT mentor.

At the end of the programme, you will graduate and will be placed on the list of candidates to be considered for DVT’s prestigious Internship programme.
